Join us for an evening of meaningful play where little hands dig, plant, create, explore, and discover the incredible role pollinators play in helping our world grow.

At Functional Roots, every activity is thoughtfully designed by a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to nurture your child’s development while fostering a lifelong connection with nature.

✨ During our Planting & Pollinators Pop-Up, your family will experience:

📝 Take-home Play Guide filled with easy activity ideas, caregiver education, and practical ways to continue learning through play at home

Whether your child loves digging in the dirt, creating with natural materials, moving their body, or simply exploring outdoors, they’ll discover opportunities to learn through joyful, child-led experiences.

📍 Allegheny RiverTrail Park (meeting location can be spotted under the bridge along the walking path to the right of the parking lot when orientation is looking at the river)

Come connect with a welcoming community, slow down together, and plant seeds of curiosity, confidence, and wonder. Be sure to stay at the park after your group to enjoy the RiverTrail, grab food and drinks from the food trucks, and enjoy the summer night together!
