Join us for a playful indoor and outdoor Nature Detective Adventure at Tree Pittsburgh, designed for children ages 1–8 years with a caregiver. Families will be invited to slow down, look closely, and explore nature through curiosity-led missions and multi-sensory play.
Upon arrival, children will gather their detective tools and set off at their own pace to navigate a series of nature-inspired investigation stations. Along the way, young detectives will uncover animal and plant mysteries, follow clues, observe details, and engage in hands-on sensory activities that encourage movement, problem-solving, and connection with the natural world.
This experience is intentionally designed to support a wide range of ages and abilities—allowing younger children to explore through guided discovery with caregivers, while older children take on more scavenger hunt–style challenges.
We’ll come together at the end of the adventure to:
Share discoveries and the solved nature mysteries through the reading of an interactive riddle
Practice a brief mindfulness and breathing routine to slow our bodies and minds
Celebrate each child’s efforts with a Nature Detective badge to mark mission completion
